Job Summary

Provide Connectivity support to customers using Hologic products including Bone Densitometry, Mammography, Fluoroscopic C-Arms and products incorporating digital radiology (DR) technology. This would include live telephone, customer call back and email support.

Responsibilities of the function include:


  • Provide Connectivity support to Hologic customers, application trainers, field engineers, and trained bio-medical technicians worldwide.
  • Providing Connectivity support for Hologic networked system projects to our dealers
  • Installing the Hologic family products onto the network and peripheral imaging devices (Pacs), patient demographic systems (work list and MPPS provider) and reporting systems (HIS / RIS).
  • Validating the full functionality with regards to the network.
  • Skilled at analyzing complex technical network applications and system performance problems
  • • Communicate product improvements, latest repair techniques, and supply documentation to field engineers related to their specific installed base.
  • Initiate timely and accurate updates of service activities into the customer support database.
  • Implement engineering change requests for reliability issues or product improvements.
  • Escalate to management appropriate service issues and concerns.
  • Assist the Service Engineering training department with technical content for in house courses, repair training equipment, perform upgrades, and occasionally lecture.
  • Provide technical training to Hologic Customers (Bio-Medical Technicians), Field Engineers
  • Assist with or write documentation to enhance technical bulletins, user guides, procedures, and technical manuals.
  • May require after hours telephone support or on-call availability.
  • Travel up to 30% may be required for complex repairs, installations, pre-site evaluations, training, and to assist with national trade shows

Your profile:

  • Bachelor in IT or Bachelor/Master Electronics -ICT.
  • Have experience in overseeing all aspects of a network installation, including planning, design, implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Have a strong knowledge of Windows NT / 2000 / XP, Windows 2000 / 2003 server, UNIX, Solaris, Dos and SQL database.
  • Knowledge of healthcare communication Standards such as Dicom and Hl7
  • Knowledge of Visual Basic, Visual C++, HTML, DHTML, PHP and Java is a plus
  • Have a thorough understanding of RAID technologies, switch and router configuration.
  • Be skilled at analyzing complex technical network applications and system performance problems.
  • Be fluent in English, French or Dutch
