JOB SUMMARY

To undertake a broad based engineering apprenticeship leading to a nationally recognised qualification and accreditation. Attend a programme of training both internally and externally to become proficient in the application and use of a wide range of general engineering, maintenance and calibration skills to integrate into the ‘Engineering and Metrology’ team.

Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Departmental Manager / Supervisor that are calculated to contribute to the requisite levels of performance and competence.

ROLE ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Provides general engineering services and support.
  • Complete current and new equipment training.
  • Supports engineering and metrology staff in a wide range of day to day duties.
  • Assists manufacturing engineers when repairing, troubleshooting and modifying equipment and systems.
  • Assists equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Assists equipment changeovers.
  • Assists equipment, process and product performance testing.
  • Gain a full understanding of equipment and changeover SOPs.
  • Gain a full understanding of company Health & Safety, Quality and documentation procedures.
  • Gain an understanding of ‘Current Good Manufacturing Practice’ (cGMP).

  • Typically requires/studying towards minimum academic GCSE qualification in English, Math’s and Science.
  • Practical academic qualification.
  • Working knowledge of Windows based programs.
  • Learning Troubleshooting and Problem Solving Skills.
  • Time Management Skills.
