The HR Manager DACH & Nordics is responsible for delivering HR operational excellence, Employee Relations management and support in DACH & Nordics, covering 200+ employees.  The function operates as part and within the EMEA & Canada HR Shared Service model, reporting to the Head of HR Operations EMEA & Canada with a strong dotted business line reporting to local management.  Position is site-based in Wiesbaden, Germany.


The on-going role is to serve as the first point of contact for all employee HR related questions and will ensure we have effective people policies, procedures and processes in place, providing initial advice and information on employment matters to managers to enable them to deliver their best.


Project based activities are to optimize integration of acquired businesses into Hologic HR policies and practices. A hands-on role, varied and interesting, working closely with various HR teams and stakeholders across the business. 


Role Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

HR Operations: 
  • Operates primarily for DACH and Nordics, though acts as a team member with Head of  HR Operations and Representatives in other regions.  HR policies and processes should align and integrate so that HR transactional cover is provided across EMEA & Canada. Providing first line advice as well as guidance on policy, processes and procedures.
  • Provides instructions to HRIS administrators to ensure database records are update with new hires.
  • Provides Management Information to the business as required.
  • Provides guidance to employees in the interpretation of benefits.
  • Resolves complex employee benefit requests, partnering with TR Centre of Excellence.
  • Interfaces with benefits providers, vendors and insurance companies.
  • Updates Training and Payroll Administrators with new hires, terminations and job changes.
 Employee Relations: 
  • Focal point of contact for all HR matters.  Based on expertise of HR processes, policies and HR organizational design, to lead employee questions to the most adequate resource.
  • Coaches and provides support to managers and employees on matters of employee performance and development.
  • Engages with local management teams through attendance at team meetings to promote HR, and act as local point of contact for HR.
  • Assists in New Hire on-boarding and Orientation, including preparation of hire packs, and conducts new hire orientation.
Integration of new and affiliated business: 
  • Works closely together with Business Integration Leaders, HR Business partners and Centers of Excellences to integrate newly acquired (affiliated) business.
  • Being the local HR Representative of Hologic, will be present and acting as the local liaison with all stakeholders on HR matters

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Knows and applies fundamental knowledge of HR practices to resolve employee issues
  • Proven experience in business and HR Integration in an acquisition context is a must
  • Proven experience in a similar position. Industry qualification or equivalent desirable
  • Experience of working in a multinational environment
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English essential
  • Computer literate, in particular HR information systems (Oracle desirable but not essential)
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-directed, but also take direction from all levels of managers within the assigned region, which may result in having to re-prioritize work activities on a regular basis
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications; effective use of technology to create meaningful reports and measurements required
  • Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
  • Strong client and service orientation. Proven ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with peers, management and other key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, engagement, and diplomacy skills in dealing with employees at all levels of the organization
