As a member of the Clinical Research team the intern will support on-going clinical studies. In this role the student will oversee logistics, data capture, and analysis of a clinical research project from the clinical research assistant perspective.

The student will work closely with different persons involved in the clinical research process including; data managers, clinical research associates and project managers as well as from other departments including R&D, engineering and marketing.

In this role the student will learn about FDA regulations for clinical research, the medical device development process, phases of clinical research, sponsor and investigators roles and responsibilities as well as what the qualifications, training and experience clinical research professionals need to have.

This internship will also provide the candidate with an opportunity to obtain training certificates in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Human Research Protection (HRP).

In order to be considered for this internship you must:

  • Be enrolled as a rising junior or senior undergraduate
  • Majoring in: Mathematics, BioMedical Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Have a 3.2/4.0 GPA
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working of knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on a team and independently
