The Manager of External Reporting will lead the Company’s external reporting responsibilities including providing support for Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings (including 10Qs, 10Ks, 8-Ks, S-3s and S-8s), preparing financial statements and other schedules to support these filings and earnings releases, technical accounting analysis and the development and maintenance of critical accounting policies.  The Manager of External Reporting interacts with senior management as part of the reporting process and also as an internal resource for guidance on technical accounting and reporting matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of SEC filings.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of supporting schedules for footnote disclosures and the XBRL files attached to financial statements filed with the SEC.
  • Manage the preparation and review of the quarterly cash flow statement.
  • Manage the quarterly reporting process with domestic and international subsidiaries.
  • Assist FP&A with monthly management reporting.
  • Assist in the analysis and evaluation of technical accounting issues and financial transactions to ensure compliance with applicable accounting rules and SEC regulations.
  • Assist with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and/or interpretations thereof. 
  • Assist in GL account reconciliation review for areas of greater complexity, as required.
  • Support external audit and quarterly review requirements.
  • Manage a staff of two accountants focusing on developing their skills and expertize over financial reporting
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues in subsidiaries, FP&A, corporate tax, legal, treasury and investor relations on various projects as required.
  • Manage special projects and unique analyses related to acquisitions, financing transactions, impairment testing, and other corporate-level initiatives.
  • Make recommendations for continuous process improvements to maximize efficiency in financial reporting.
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of the Company’s financial accounting policy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting
  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels within the organization including executive and senior management and external auditors.
  • Ability to complete multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Proficient in excel


  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field. 


  • 5-7 years of previous SEC reporting/ public accounting experience
  • Experience with Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management preferred
  • Experience with Workiva (formerly Webfilings) and XBRL, a plus
  • CPA preferred
