We are seeking a  Manager, Manufacturing, an individual who manages the development and implantation of activities in production area(s) to meet all production, quality and cost objective goals.

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs. 

  • Manages a large department or a few small departments through supervisors and leads.
  • Ensures department is staffed and trained.
  • Evaluates and develops personnel.
  • Ensures products meet quality standards and are in compliance with all QSR and ISO 9001 regulations.
  • Develops and implements manufacturing documentation and SOPs.
  • Maintain laboratories, working areas and equipment; ensure equipment repairs, calibrations and validations are scheduled as needed.
  • Maintains supplies of materials/reagents required to meet manufacturing schedules; work with Production Planning to set and maintain reorder points and safety stock.
  • Plans the manufacturing schedule to support sales forecast and meet dept. needs.
  • Ensures inventory transactions are performed and inventory is stored properly.
  • Assists with transfer of new products into Manufacturing.
  • Assists with the preparation and/or review of routings, work center information and labor charges.
  • Prepares and controls department budget.
  • Prepares and monitors headcount, expense and capital budgets according to marketing forecasts.
  • Analyzes and reports production or labor variances.
  • Assist in developing department goals and objectives.
  • Selects or participates in the selection and purchase of new equipment.
  • Evaluates and reports on capacity of each department.
                                                                                                       

Qualifications
Education          
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent.  Preferred degrees in engineering, operations management or business
 
Experience         
  • 7+ years of lead manufacturing experience 
 
Skills
  • Medical devices manufacturing/assembly experience a plus
  • Experience with ISO requirements mandatory.
  • Experience with FDA preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality systems and medical device development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with staff at all levels
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated trustworthiness, respect and integrity
  • Positive, self-confident, decisive leader able to influence across the organization
  • High Energy and goal-orientated with desire to succeed in a business environment
