Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for reviewing and reporting on production variances (work order, scrap, rework, refurbishment)

  • Review Purchase Price Variances and Cycle Count results
  • Standard Cost Maintenance and Product Costing
  • Month end journal entries and inventory reconciliation
  • Prepare Excess and Obsolete Inventory analyses
  • Monthly Labor and Overhead Analysis
  • Interact with and provide information as requested by external auditors for quarterly reviews
  • Prepare monthly Factory Performance Tracking
  • Report Operations and Service Inventory Levels
  • Reconcile In-transit Inventory
  • Track and Reconcile Demo Inventory pools
  • Work with related departments and ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Work with Purchasing and Manufacturing to validate Savings projects
  • CAPEX reporting
  • Other ad-hoc analyses as required

Qualifications  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

  • Must have working experience in the Cost Accounting field
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing and Materials operations
  • Oracle or other ERP systems is a plus
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal skills

Education  

  • Bachelors Degree (Preferably in Accounting or Business Management)

Experience  

  • Minimum Five years of hands on Cost Accounting experience

Specialized Knowledge

  • Strong Excel skills, Hyperion a plus
