Hologic is aggressively seeking an outstanding Senior Director, Global Strategy & Marketing Analytics (reports to the V.P. Worldwide Marketing) to: 1) Accelerate the Global expansion of our current U.S. market leading brands Thin Prep, Aptima, Panther and Rapid fFN in order to better meet doctor and patient demands for health than competition,  2) Build our Marketing Analytics team to provide industry leading target audience insights to drive growth on our major brand franchises and 3) Partner with peer Senior Directors and other function leaders to accelerate U.S. & Global Innovation Portfolio (products, claims & acquisitions) launch and early adoption. 
 
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of organic/base business sales growth, market share gains and new product launches in the U.S. and International markets.  Experience across multiple categories and channels (e.g., Diagnostics, Pharma, Consumer Healthcare and/or Consumer Packaged Goods) is a major positive differentiator. 
Primary responsibilities include:
  • Operating as the primary Marketing interface for major global markets, particularly the US and European markets, to insure an aligned steady cadence of new product and claim innovation is delivered by the U.S. based Franchises to the Regions. Partner in helping franchises and regions meet/exceed delivery of Region Annual Business Plan and 5-Year Strat Plan.
  • Leading cross functional peers in R&D, Sales, Operations and Marketing in the development of our global new product strategy and innovation portfolio to meet/exceed our U.S. and Global 5-year Strat Plan growth commitments. Trouble-shoot and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve critical issues that impact the portfolio. Lead, execute and standardize the development and implementation of our New Product Development and Launch Excellence processes and training to insure maximum value from new product launches in the U.S. and key strategic markets.
  • Establishing, leading and growing a highly effective and influential Marketing Analytics team to provide industry leading target audience (Health Care Professionals, Lab partners and patients) insights designed to drive growth on our major brand franchises. Opportunities will include developing the fundamental data sources (internal and external) to support key drivers of our franchises, developing brand and sales reports for broad senior management distribution and use.  
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
  • Experienced leader with proven results in leading teams, making authoritative business decisions, and accounting for results.
  • Highly accountable, with experience in managing complex projects with ambitious milestones under pressure, having accomplished milestones on time and on budget.
  • Experience in global launch is highly valued.
  • Relevant molecular diagnostic experience is helpful but not mandatory.
 
Education:
BA/BS in Business Administration or Science required; MBA, PhD, or advanced degree and experience are preferred
 
Experience:
  • Minimum of 12+ years related business experience with proven track record in commercial and/or sales management at the regional level, global marketing, and product development leadership roles within clinical diagnostic, medical device or pharmaceutical companies. Diagnostic marketing experience considered a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
