Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
 

You will be part of an enthusiastic, results-oriented, and dynamic team of systems test engineers, software, hardware, and systems engineers working to design and develop Hologic’s best-in-class digital mammography products. The ideal candidate will be someone who strives to understand how complex hardware/software systems operate in order to find ways to improve them.

           
  • Working closely with test engineers, hardware/software developers, and architects, develop an expert level understanding of our products and their use in clinical practice in order to design, develop, and test our next generation diagnostic systems.
  • Act as a technical leader by continuously searching for potential product improvements and insisting on the highest levels of product quality.
  • Interface with Product Management and Domain Experts to identify product improvements and influence quality and testability of new product features.
  • Apply and share knowledge of best practices in testing of software, hardware, and systems.
  • Influence processes to drive product quality.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior test engineers.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of best practices in testing of software, hardware, and systems.
  • Exceptional working knowledge of test automation and its application in software and hardware environments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in communicating technical details with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ownership in executing project test plans to deliver test procedures and artifacts.
  • Ability to provide feedback on requirements and test cases for completeness, accuracy, and ability to implement and test.
  • Ability to drive departmental best practices and process improvements.
  • Medical imaging or experience in an FDA-regulated environment a plus.
           
Education
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline. Other disciplines may be considered based on experience.
 
Experience     
  • At least 5 years of software and/or hardware testing experience.
