Job Summary
Hologic is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst responsible for financial support to the R&D organization including assisting with the annual budgeting process, performing regular financial forecasts, performing financial variance analysis of operating results, supporting the needs of non-financial personnel through financial analysis and reporting, and supporting the monthly financial close.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs. 
  • Support R&D cost center owners in basic financial analysis
  • Prepare internal management reports
  • Assist review and analysis of financial data
  • Performed basic forecasting and budgeting support
  • Research basic finance and accounting issues
  • Assist with annual budget and monthly re-forecast process
  • Extract and manipulate raw data for analysis or conclusions
  • Support financial function in basic and administrative tasks
  • Create NPV models and assist R&D leaders with understanding ROI for key projects and investments
Qualifications
Education          
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
 
Experience         
  • Minimum 4 years related experience
 
Skills
  • Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills
  • Familiarity with financial valuation methods
  • General understanding of Accounting and Finance Principles
  • Advanced experience with manipulating data using Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortability with large data sets
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Access
  • Strong PowerPoint skills
  • Understanding of ERP systems, preferably Oracle
  • Experience using a financial planning systems (Ex. Hyperion), desired
