Summary

The Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Planning translates Divisional global Demand Plans into global Supply Plan Net Requirements for Plants/CM’s/Suppliers, ensuring Service level targets are achieved with lowest possible inventories

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Owns the Global Supply (Net Requirements) Planning processes translated from global Demand Plans, facilitated by tight alignment with Demand Planning, and Regional Distribution (DRP) Planning
  • Develops the Safety stock Strategy for Commercial FG, and guides the Component SS strategy based on a clear understanding of Demand & Supply variability, and statistical applications
  • Manages Supply Planning team(s) across multiple sites and coaches/mentors/develops excellence in Planning practices
  • Prepares and facilitates monthly Supply Reviews (SR) and other associated IBP (S&OP) meetings, including consolidation and distribution of presentation materials, presentation of plans, meeting notes/action items, etc,
  • Reviews and analyzes historical trends, consumption against monthly supply plan, and ensures Supply Plan adherence (P vs. A)
  • Identifies potential Supply constraints and interruptions through Oracle ASCP driven analysis, supplier deliveries, and capacity plans
  • Owns the analysis and broad communication process around Supply Alerts, Inventory availability, Backorders, and constrained supply
  • Works with Product Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain stakeholders to develop detailed plans for the introduction of new products and phase-out of discontinued products
  • Participates in development of monthly Supply KPI package and drives standardization related to supply reporting & analytics
  • Participates in advancement of existing Supply planning tools and improvements to Net Requirements accuracy, through cross regional and cross divisional alignment and partnership, modeling, and tool creation
  • Identifies risks and opportunities and develops scenario plans to optimize service level results
  • Supports Planning tool implementation, planning automation, development and coaching (Kinaxis, Oracle, and Qlik)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of  6 years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and/or Sales & Operations Planning required
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions, esp. Manufacturing & Procurement
  • Demonstrated skills interacting at various levels of an organization
  • Strong project management skills
  • Requires considerable interpretation of data, independent judgment, and good analytical ability to handle varied situations
  • Experience implementing new business processes and driving organizational change
  • Advanced knowledge of operations/manufacturing systems, including S&OP/MRP concepts
  • Supply Chain certification (APICS or CPF) desired
  • Proficiency PC/Window – MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Education  

  • BA/BS or equivalent required in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Administration/Management, Marketing, or Engineering degree required
  • MBA preferred

Specialized Knowledge

  • Kinaxis Rapid Response Demand Planning preferred
  • Qlikview/Qliksense experience a plus
  • Oracle ERP and ASCP experience a plus
  • SC Planning or ERP Software implementation experience is desirable
