The UK Marketing Executive will be responsible for marketing activities specific to surgical product portfolio for the UK, including supporting the UK marketing manager in developing the Surgical business strategy.  The UK Marketing Executive is responsible for supporting the creation and execution of the marketing strategy, tactical plans, new product introductions, communications strategy, market development, and portfolio lifecycle plans aligned to the broader country marketing and sales objectives.  The Junior Brand Manager is also responsible for understanding current and future market and competitive trends, as well as customer and patient needs.


A key focus for this position is effective execution of marketing tactics and activities to accelerate customer acquisition, elevate brand awareness, drive demand and flow of product to achieve the business plan.

Your Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of marketing execution for the UK Surgical division – from hands-on operational work to coordinating with agencies and partners for execution, holding them accountable for deliverables and KPIs
  • Promotional tool creation: provide sales function with core promotional and scientific literature, sales aids, and support materials to help them exceed their sales plan
  • Analyze market data including competitive activity and regulatory requirements and support adaptation of strategies as necessary
  • Manage and execute external events, setting and monitoring KPIs, budgeting, processes, programming, and working with internal and external partners
  • Support development and execution of UK surgical /category strategies and plans in collaboration with the marketing, sales teams and General Managers
  • Support the commercial sales execution
  • Leverage existing global & regional partnerships and develop local partnership opportunities, in collaboration with the market access, scientific and clinical affairs, strategic marketing and sales.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager (incl. budget tracking, speaker / congress contracts, etc)

Your Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Some marketing or combination of sales and marketing experience required (incl. internship)
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute actively
  • Ability to work in new technology areas – digital marketing experience preferred
  • Experience working with development teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Sensitive to regional differences in market needs and clincial practice patterns
  • Ability to drive focus, prioritization and effective time / project management
  • Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentations) with varied audiences
  • Self-starter, know how to approach the job, passionate about the industry
  • Demonstrate practical application of successful marketing / business / portfolio management concepts and methodologies, as well as assessment tools, practices and techniques
  • Unquestionable ethics and integrity
  • Excellent relationship building and collaborative skills
  • Ability to travel internationally and I country consistently
